How are your hair and skin doing after this month long heat wave, a bit dry? We’ve got a couple of free at home tips to help you protect your hair colour and nourish your skin.

Hair Tip – Long lasting colour

If you’ve just spent a few hours in the salon having your hair coloured you probably don’t want your colour to fade straight away. The best way to protect your hair is to cover your hair with a hat when in direct sunlight. UV light not only damages your hair but can also bleach and cause your colour to fade quicker than it would normally.

To keep hair nourished we recommend you wash and condition your hair, then leave in the conditioner overnight. Rinse with warm water in the morning and then style as normal.

If you fancy a treat why not pop into the salon and we’ll do the hard work for you. A Wella Brilliance deep conditioning treatment will protect your hair and lock in moisture, plus you get a lovely relaxing head massage.

Beauty Tip – It’s all about honey

Guinot Beauty TreatmentNo doubt your skin will be dried out too. It’s important to keep to your beauty regime and to make sure you spend time moisturising your face and neck, prevention is always better than cure!

Our favourite at home facial would be honey, something you’ve already got in the cupboard at home. Cleanse your face as normal and then apply the honey with a pastry brush to a dry face and neck. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, rinse off with warm water and apply your normal moisturiser. For an indulgent version why not use Manuka honey, renowned for its medicinal properties.

If you’d rather be pampered why not book in for a Guinot hydadermie2 facial instead.
